Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 3, 2026
1. Scope and Who We Are
Minada Studio operates minadastudio.com and its Learning Studio, Planner Studio, Book Studio, Shop, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, when we disclose it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.
Minada Studio is responsible for personal information collected to operate the Service. If a school, business, or other organization provides content about other people, that organization may be responsible for deciding how that content is used, while we process it to provide the Service.
2. Information We Collect
Account and Profile Information
We collect your email address, name, authentication details, profile picture, role, and account preferences. You may also provide optional information such as your school name, grade levels, subjects, studio themes, and email preferences. If you sign in with Google, we receive the name, email address, and profile image that Google makes available with your authorization. We do not receive your Google password.
Studio Content and Files
We store content you create or upload, including worksheets, planner and book documents, text, layouts, canvas data, images, fonts, templates, generator settings, favorites, and related files. Content is private by default. If you create a public sharing link, anyone with that link may be able to view the shared content until the link or content is removed.
Usage and Technical Information
We collect plan and subscription status, creation and export counts, feature use, onboarding progress, and similar service activity. We may also process IP address, browser and device information, page URL, referrer, timestamps, authentication events, and security or rate-limit events to operate, analyze, and protect the Service.
Purchases and Billing
Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record for paid plans and Shop purchases. We do not store your full card number. We receive and store limited transaction details such as customer, subscription, order, product, and variant identifiers; plan and subscription status; billing period; purchase and download history; and other details needed to provide access and support billing.
Messages and Support
If you contact us, we collect the information you submit, such as your name, email address, category, subject, message, attachments, and our replies. We may also log your account ID, IP address, browser information, and submission time to respond to you and prevent abuse.
3. How and Why We Use Information
- Provide, personalize, maintain, and troubleshoot the Service
- Authenticate users, secure accounts, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce limits
- Save, export, and share content when you request those actions
- Manage plans, purchases, subscriptions, downloads, taxes, and billing support
- Send account, security, service, and transaction-related communications
- Send optional updates where permitted and according to your email preferences
- Respond to questions, privacy requests, and support messages
- Understand performance and feature use and improve the Service
- Comply with law, enforce our terms, and establish or defend legal claims
Depending on the law that applies, we rely on performance of our contract with you, steps taken at your request, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, your consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the legal basis; this does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
4. Other Disclosures
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, or at your direction or with your consent.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Device Storage
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, language preferences, and temporary OAuth state. We also use browser local storage or session storage for settings and convenience features such as themes, onboarding, favorites, recent items, cart contents, editor state, drafts, interactive progress, and cached data. You can clear this device storage through your browser, although some features may reset or stop working as expected.
We use Google Analytics on public marketing, catalog, pricing, policy, and similar pages to understand visits and navigation. Google Analytics is not loaded on admin, account, authentication, dashboard, or editor routes. Google may receive page URL and title, referrer, approximate location derived from IP address, and device or browser information, and may set analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics to read private studio content.
You can use browser settings or privacy tools to block or delete analytics cookies and similar storage. Blocking essential cookies can prevent sign-in and other core features. You may also contact us to object to analytics processing where that right applies.
6. International Data Transfers
We and our service providers may process or store information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we use legally recognized transfer mechanisms and other safeguards provided by our vendors or applicable law.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We generally retain account information and private studio content while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If your account loses all paid upload access, including when a Pro or Creator subscription ends, uploaded images and fonts are kept for a 14-day grace period and then permanently deleted. Renewing eligible access before the deletion deadline cancels the scheduled deletion.
Deleting an uploaded image or font does not automatically remove its reference from an existing worksheet, planner, book, or other project. After the file is deleted, an image that used that upload will no longer display or export, and text that used a deleted custom font may fall back to another font. You should export finished work or renew before the deletion deadline if you need to preserve those results.
If you delete your account or make a valid deletion request, we delete or de-identify account and private studio records that are no longer needed, subject to technical completion, backup cycles, and the exceptions below. Shared content stops being available when the underlying content or sharing record is deleted.
We may retain transaction, tax, subscription, support, security, fraud-prevention, webhook, and audit records for the period reasonably necessary to meet legal, accounting, dispute-resolution, and operational obligations. Some retained records may be separated from the deleted account. Aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained for analysis.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to:
- Access or receive a copy of your personal information
- Correct incomplete or inaccurate information
- Request deletion or restriction of processing
- Receive certain information in a portable format
- Object to certain processing or withdraw consent
- Opt out of optional marketing communications
- Complain to the data protection authority where you live or work
To exercise a right, contact us using the email below. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting on a request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. You may appeal a denied request by replying to our decision where applicable.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Users must meet the age requirements in our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts or knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Teachers, parents, and other authorized adults should avoid entering unnecessary or sensitive information about children in studio content and must have the authority to provide any personal information they upload. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls, secure session cookies, database Row Level Security, and measures designed to detect and prevent abuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use private studio content to serve advertising. We disclose limited information to the service providers described above so they can perform services for us or when otherwise permitted by law.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or applicable law changes. We will update the date above and, when required, provide additional notice by email or within the Service. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
